How does the GLS customs interface differ from the GLS customs portal?
The customs interface is a technical connection (e.g. via API) that we use to automatically transfer customs data and export documents directly from your system. This is particularly suitable for high shipping volumes and enables fast, error-free processes without manual input.
The customs portal is a browser-based solution in which you can enter customs-relevant data manually or upload it as a file. It is ideal if you do not use a system connection or only ship internationally occasionally.
