The digital transmission of customs data - for example via our customs portal or the customs interface - means that all customs-relevant information and documents are already available electronically, ideally at the time of collection or at the latest during processing at the GLS depot. This means that the data can be securely transmitted to the shipping service provider at an early stage. This minimizes the risk of delays at customs, as all the necessary information is available in good time and the export process is more efficient and transparent. This avoids unnecessary transit time delays and enables smooth shipping outside the EU.
