On the subject of express dangerous goods in general:
In the GLS Express area, only category 4 hazardous goods may be transported without restriction; beyond that, everything must be within the LQ regulations. For all other hazardous materials, approval must be obtained from our hazardous goods officer. Therefore, please contact your personal contact person or your responsible depot directly. They will then get in touch with the relevant dangerous goods officer to obtain an individual check and approval.
Here are a few specific examples of dangerous goods:
Lithium batteries: The shipment of lithium batteries is possible in individual cases, but requires the approval of our dangerous goods officer.
Fireworks: Fireworks may only be transported if they fall under class 1.4 S and are therefore within the scope of the LQ regulations.
Ammunition: The shipment of ammunition is only possible if it falls under class 1.4 S and is therefore within the scope of the LQ regulations.
