Receive parcel deliveries with GLS

With GLS, you have full flexibility when it comes to the delivery of your parcels: Track the status of your parcel at any time and always stay up to date. You can issue a drop-off authorisation to have your parcel left in a safe place, or issue a collection authorisation if you want someone else to collect the parcel for you from the ParcelShop. Most frequently asked questions regarding parcel deliveries and parcel receiption

How can I change my delivery address/day?

Whether you can still change the delivery address or the day of delivery for your parcel depends on the service you booked with Versneider and the current status of your parcel. If the FlexDeliveryService is activated, you will receive an email with a link that allows you to select an alternative delivery option before the first delivery attempt. As long as the parcel has not yet been delivered, you can change the address yourself until 11:59 p.m. on the day before delivery. Simply click on the link in the email and select the appropriate alternative under β€œSelect delivery option.”

What happens to my parcel if I am not at home?

If you are not at home, the driver will try to deliver the parcel to your neighbors. If this is not possible, they will take your parcel to a nearby GLS ParcelShop, where you can pick it up within 8 working days. Some parcels cannot be delivered alternatively – e.g. to a neighbor – such as car tires or parcels requiring identity verification. In these cases, your parcel will be delivered again on the next working day. In all cases, you will receive a notification card. If we are unable to deliver your parcel on the second attempt, it will automatically be taken to the nearest GLS depot. You can collect it yourself from there within 8 working days. To ensure that your parcel is ready for collection, please contact our service team in advance. Click here to go directly to the contact form. If the storage period of 8 working days has been exceeded, your parcel will be returned to the sender. Is your parcel currently being delivered? Then you still have the option of choosing another delivery option via our parcel tracking, e.g. drop-off permission, delivery to a GLS ParcelShop or a new delivery address.

I will soon be receiving bulky goods. Is there anything I need to bear in mind as a private individual?

No, as a private person you don't have to pay attention to anything.

What criteria must a deposit location fulfil?

The storage location must be on your property and must always be dry, freely accessible and not visible to third parties. Garages or garden sheds, for example, are well suited.
