Your safety - our solution: Receive your parcels safely.

Upon request, GLS can drop off your parcels at a location of your choice, for example outside your front door, the hallway, or your garden. All we need is for you to sign up for contactless delivery.

Frequently asked questions

How does contactless delivery work?

Upon request, GLS can deposit parcels at an agreed location – for example in your garage, on your terrace or in the building’s stairwell. This is particularly practical for recipients who cannot or do not want to receive their parcel in person. This also means that you don’t need to worry about the exact delivery time and that you minimise any risk in the current situation. When completing the form, simply request that the driver ring your doorbell/buzzer upon arrival and you will know that your parcel has arrived.

How can I set up contactless delivery?

Issuing GLS with a drop off permission is very simple: choose between a one-time drop off permission for single parcels or a permanent drop off permission for all parcels addressed to you until further notice.

You can easily issue the one-time drop-off permission with just a few clicks online via the parcel tracking system. To do this, simply call up your parcel on the track and trace page and click on "Change delivery option now".

Would you like to issue a permanent drop-off permission and allow GLS to drop off your parcels at a location of your choice in the future? Simply log in to your personal account or register with us and grant us a permanent drop-off permission.

 

 

Can I arrange contactless delivery for all parcels addressed to me?

You can give individual permission for one specific parcel, or you can give blanket permission for all parcels addressed to you until revoked. Simply log in to your personal account or register with us and grant us a permanent drop-off permission.

How can I cancel contactless delivery?
Are there exceptions to contactless delivery?

Yes. Contactless delivery is not an option if the parcel delivery requires proof of identity, or the parcel contains certain sensitive items. Therefore we cannot offer contactless delivery if the sender has contracted one of the following services:

Please note that the following services are still delivered by our deliverer and that we currently do not require a signature in the hand scanner in order to ensure protection even when the parcel is delivered directly.
